Can you see me
Even when everything’s shimmering?
Even when everything’s shimmering
Can you see me?

Every morning again and again, these heavy eyelids
And the empty, numb limbs
I painstakingly shave both legs and what-I-know
I go out too late and apart from that, pushing 30

Like gnats around lamps, we’re swarming in the direction of noise
Look for words that warm us
Corks pop, glasses fall, schnapps flags change color
Rainbow colors, when the light rebounds in the shards

Can you see me
Even when everything’s shimmering
Even when a thousand colors spin around us?

Can you see me
Even when everything’s shimmering
As if this world was a kaleidoscope?

Even when chaos is raging around us
Can you see me?

Last hope in the bars
The last straw sticks in every full glass
Because the city puckers its lips and sings the same old song
And its suitors drown at the foot of its cliffs

We borrow protection
An SMS history is all that remains in the morning
Stirring up! Cooling down! That’s how it is with feelings:
Everyone wants to eat, but no one wants to clean!

Can you see me …?

Can you see me
Between all of the stones in the kaleidoscope
Behind all of the illusion?

Can you see me
Even when everything’s flickering like a hologram?
Before you know it, everything here collapses into itself

Can you see me …?
